I am reseaching Bozeman to see if it is a place that I would like to move my family to in about 3-5 years. I'm currently in the MidWest and I am customed to Lake effect snow. I've gathered some info on Bozeman from the Internet but the best info is from the people who live there. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. I am an outdoor enthusiast also. Thanks!
I am envious to all those that live there. Give me a reason that I shouldn't be.

If you are used to lake effect snow, Boze won't be a problem at all. Although the plowing (or lack thereof) can be a problem, the snow is usually powder (light, not heavy wet snow)and the amount of sunny days (over 220 a year) make the winters bearable.
I would take -20 in Bozeman over 30 in Buffalo, NY anyday.
Welcome to a place where people wave and say hi for no reason, feel free to join in the friendly, good way of life!
