are there any shooting clubs or rifle ranges in bozeman? can anyone tell me when the next gun show is and where?

There is a gun club/shooting range near Logan, MT, which is about 20 miles west of Bozeman.

The Bozeman fairgrounds have an indoor range, but I think its handguns only and you may have to join a club of some sort. More info is posted on the bulletin board at the Powder Horn sporting goods store located at 35 E. Main Street Bozeman. Call 587-7373

You do not have to be a member of anything to shoot at the indoor range in Bozeman. It's at the fairgrounds. But you might check the schedule. It is not open all the time. And at certain time it is reserved for certain things. I belong to the range out at Logan. You have to be an NRA member to join and the memberships are really reasonable. Pretty much any sporting goods store will have the stuff you need to become a member out there.

One more thing. The range at Logan is outdoor so dress accordingly. The range at the fairgrounds is indoor but you have to shoot handgun that is less that 1200 fps or you can also shoot .22 rifle there too. You cannot shoot jacketed bullets. You can shoot lead or copper clad. And no one seemed to know the difference. But they would never let me shoot the ammo I brought there.
